At the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, we aim to advance human health and well-being by significantly contributing to knowledge on the prevention and treatment of diseases including arthritis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes type-2, osteoporosis,
    mental health, obesity and dementia.

Our researchers take a 'bench-to-bedside' approach, which means we translate the knowledge we
gain into health policies, training and recommendations for treatment. We also
work with commercial partners to develop and apply our discoveries. Finally, we
educate and train future research scientists, clinicians and health
    professionals.

MyCareSpace is a national online NDIS health-tech platform, helping people living with a disability find and connect with Providers of disability services and supports.

It also supports NDIS providers to build their NDIS business skills, be aware of and maintain their NDIS compliance requirements and understand the needs of NDIS Participants.

Launched in 2017, we have become a reliable source of NDIS information and are trusted to match people with disability and their families with the NDIS supports and therapies they need.

We support Participant choice and control by giving them Provider options that can meet their specific disability needs and from Providers who have passed the MyCareSpace verification process.

MyCareSpace has over 30,000 members and creates thousands of service matches every month.

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Our role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a scheme of the Australian Government that funds reasonable and necessary supports associated with significant and permanent disability for people under 65 years old.

The NDIS model allocates funding to an individual, with the individual, their guardian or a private "plan manager" purchasing goods and services from suppliers. The scheme is entirely publicly funded and not means-tested, with recipients not purchasing or contributing to the scheme directly. The NDIS is independent of the Disability Support Pension and any state and territory disability programs, although NDIS navigation services may help individuals access these supports. The NDIS also exclusively funds disability supports, not healthcare-associated costs; these remain publicly funded under Medicare and state and territory government health services.
